You are invited to go cycling through the cool forests, across the Javornik forests to Lake Cerknica.

WHEN: Sunday, July 17th, 2022.

MEETING POINT: In Postojna, at the parking lot in front of the barracks. Location: https://goo.gl/maps/2chJiGr2VS5Vaje89 at 8:00 (departure at 8:30).

ROUTE DESCRIPTION: Javorniki is a plateau that rises between Postojna and Pivka in the south and the Cerknica field in the north. We will partly cycle on asphalt and partly on gravel roads with a moderate pace to conquer the ascent, cross the vast Javornik forests, and then descend to Lake Cerknica. We will return via Rakov Škocjan, where we will see the natural wonder, the Small and Large Natural Bridge. In the coolness of the forest, we will take an energy break and then continue to Postojna.

EQUIPMENT: Technically flawless trekking or mountain bike with profiled tires and front suspension, cycling helmet (mandatory), gloves, spare inner tube, appropriate clothing, sufficient amount of food and drink.

PRICE: The price for the guided tour with two licensed cycling guides, at least five digital photos of the route, and the organization of the trip is 30 EUR/person. For those who have cycled with us before, the discount is 10% (27 EUR). The tour will be conducted if there are at least five registered cyclists.

By registering, the participant confirms that they are aware of the difficulty of the tour and fulfill the health, physical, and technical requirements for safe participation. The participant rides at their own risk and is obliged to follow the instructions and decisions of the tour leader. In case of bad weather, the tour will be canceled, and all registered participants will be notified.
